Chain shackles to DIN 745 and DIN 5699 are used together with chain ends to DIN 764 and DIN 766 as tension members in chain bucket elevators.
Chain shackles are drop-forged, which together with spacer plates prevents shackle breakage. Paul Hedfeld GmbH supplies chain shackles which are hardened and tempered with highly wear-resistant inner curves.
